The door has two latches to close and open. Pull the door tight and press down on the first latch, then secure the top latch. To open the door, undo the two latches and push the door out. If for some reason we cannot get out of the door, the left window can be kicked out with enough force.
Seat belts are to be worn over the waist and shoulder and remain fastened throughout the whole flight. To unbuckle the seatbelt, just press down on the red button.
The fire extinguisher is located between the seats. To use it, release the latch, pull the pin, and spray at the base of the flames in a sweeping motion. If there is a fire under your feet, you fly the plane and I'll put out the fire. If the fire is under my feet, I'll fly the plane and you put out the fire.
There will be no smoking throughout the flight.
I will be the PIC on today's flight and we will use positive exchange of controls. I will say "your controls". Once you have taken controls, you will respond, "my controls". I will then visually confirm that you have the controls and say, "your controls" as I relinquish the controls.
